Alcoil Announces New Advanced Furnace Installation
Alcoil, a leading manufacturer of Micro-Channel HVAC/R coils, has added to their manufacturing facility a new state-of-the-art Controlled Atmosphere Brazing (CAB) furnace that is expected to significantly increase their manufacturing capabilities.
The new furnace is the most advanced and largest CAB furnace for Micro-Channel coil brazing in North America, and is designed to handle small production runs (1 to 10 heat exchangers), as well as high volume production runs (over 100 heat exchangers) per shift.
“The new Furnace is now fully operational and in production,” said Steve Wand, President and CEO of Alcoil, “and we expect it to have significant impact on our production capacity and quality of Micro-Channel heat exchangers.”
The CAB furnace uses an indexing grid 138”x 64” for large coils up to 40 tons, making low volume and high volume production possible for custom coils. The furnace also has precision temperature control, plus a vacuum purge system for nitrogen atmosphere control, which significantly improves aluminum brazing quality.
